Default FYI 97 and RT 3

97 is closed not too far west of Rt 3. The only sign is about 8 miles back and says state road closed...that's it.

Unless you are adventurous I wouldn't recommend CR 3234 Took it to CR 799 to CR 3414 I think at one time they used to be asphalt, and they are all washed out to hell.

It's been closed for a month or so already. If you're going east on 97, you can go up towards Mohican Lodge, past Pleasant Hill Dam and then cut over to 97 (near the day bridle area) via the covered bridge.

Or you can go south on McCurdy Road which is a nice twisty backroad which dumps you out on Rt 3 just south of the Grist Mill area. This was the way we went today after having lunch in Butler, then headed south to Utica for desert.

The road down to the covered bridge was pretty bad in early April with large pot holes etc.
