Default Hocking hills ?

If the spider and 6 or 8 Michigan bandits were to invade the Hocking hills area. What would be a good central or north end of the Hocking hills Forrest area to stay for a Friday nite Saturday nite then blast back to the land of the over taxed Sunday morning.

Logan?
Zanesville?
Cheap Cabin for the group of 8 ?
Cheap ass motels- No bed bugs please ?

And what would be the cant miss roads or sights to see in a very short period of time?

Athens probably, or nelsonville. There are a ton of cabins to rent down that way. Zanesville is too far north. Pm SIrepair he's familiar with all the roads out there. How technical of roads do you want to ride? I assume all Harley's? If so you probably want to hit sweeper roads and not technical roads. 56, 93 , 26 , 550 , the back half of 78 . Also look in the reasons to ride, SE Ohio section here for ideas.

Be careful if you choose the cabin route. Many of the cabins have very steep gravel driveways that would be very difficult on a motorcycle.

We stayed in a super nice one last year, but our car just barely could make it up the driveway, and I would not attempt it on my motorcycle.

Can't miss roads...

374 from 33 to 56
56 from 374 to 664
Big Pine from 664 to 374
Thompson Ridge from 374 to Laurlville

Good,but maybe not "can't miss"..

678 from 180 to 374
Illsboro-Ceder Falls

Very twisty with new pavement...

Kreashbaum from 678 to Big Pine

Scenic,but crappy pavement...

Clear Creek through Clear Creek Metro Park.A little North of the H.H.s on 33.

We stayed in the State Park with our camper. There are cabins there and just next to it is a KOA that has cabins as well. Both are very nice.

I went through Nelsonville today and the construction on 33 was an hour wait going towards Lancaster and worse going the other way.

Good stuff. Yes ferret all Harley's and one Roadliner as long as its pavement there are no roads to technical for us. We just don't run 160 mph thru the curves

Mntstar yes exactly what our plan is Cheap beer and a place to lay the head. We are riding the entertainment.

Tank, Thanks for the reminder did some reading in the southeast forum and noted the driveway thing could be an issue.
You back on that scooter yet ?

Trk, we are being sissys this time no camping gear. Just flying by the seat of our pants if this pans out. I will look into those cabins though. Did some digging on cabins verse's motel And if we can find one that's not booked it would be cheaper for the 8 of us to spit a cabin than get separate rooms in a flea bag motel. At least that's what Im seeing at the moment.

Jnor, Drc, Thanks for taking the time to list some roads Im going to note them and check em out on the map.

Russ, thank for the heads up on the construction.

Jnor - Jimbo's as in Jim Jim's or as in Jimbo's as an establishment of some sort?

THANKS much for the help Folks appreciate it.
