Default Dirt Bikes in state parks - ODNR discussion

I recently had a discussion with Dameon Shipley of the ODNR in regards to funding and trail growth for dirt bike riders.

With the recent changes with the APV tags they are accumulating funding pretty fast and they are looking for ways to expand trails. I mentioned utilizing snow mobile trails in the existing state parks and using the funds to increase maintenance.

Anyway, what are your thoughts around creating atv/dirt bike trails in more of the state parks? Anybody have other ideas that may be good to pass along? They are also looking for tracts of land from 600-1,500 acres. If you know of any for sale that would be good to know as well.

Thanks in advance.

I agree on using snowmobile trails. That makes perfect sense to me. lol Especially with climate change going on and getting winters like we had this year.

Default Let them know

Indypup,

We need to always be looking to increase our voice, in a respectable manner. I encourage you to reach out to the ODNR and express your position. Even if you just visit their site and reply to the "Contact Us" the message will be passed along. That's how I got in touch.

Ride on brother!
