And also, by the way, Spies did not do so bad his first year on the satellite bike.

Who is the only American to win a MotoGP race since 2006?

You know who. Ben Spies. 2011.

Who was rookie of the year in 2010? You know who. Ben Spies. On a satellite bike. Sixth place in the world championship.

Lol..hey there are 2 yamahas in the garage too

Spies was pretty good, you don't get a factory ride without being pretty good. Top rookie? Big deal, he just did better than the other rookies. He didn't do what we all expected him to do, go up there and kick azz. He did alright. Slightly better than Crutchlow or Bradl or Bautista

Persons of interest .... Lol

Not a very exciting race to watch today. Lorenzo and Marquez did everything they could to win today. Lorenzo just did it a little bit better. Never seen anyone ride on the edge as much as Marquez does during a race without disastrous results.

2 weeks we will have a champ.

Did you see Marquez's practice crash? That kid is tough!

I expect next week to be a dull race. Its gonna be Lorenzo, Pedrosa, Marquez.

Dont think Marquez is going to push too hard. He needs third place to win the championship and I think that is exactly what he will aim for. Cant see him taking chances battling with Lorenzo.

He is a tough kid. He crashes a lot, but only seems to do it in practice.

I fear you are right. I'd hate to see Marquez doing " just enough" to win, but if he's smart that is what he'd do.

Hate to see the season come to an end.

Lorenzo has been remarkable with a broken collarbone, Pedrosa as well.

Poor Crutchlow had a poor second half of the season and now moves to Ducati where next year he will have a poor entire season lol

Does Suzuki come back in next year or the year after? That's crazy. If ot were me and Kaw and Suz wanted to come back, I'd say when can you start?

Somewhat off topic, but what if MotoGP ran like sports car racing.... In that the more you win, the more weight they add as a hindrance.... Then and ONLY then would we see parody start to show its face in GP. Part of my avoidance of GP and F1 is the "unless you run for these 2 (some weeks 3) teams, you're battling for 10th". That stinks. I like finding out who the best rider (driver) is, not who paid the most for their team to test etc. Until MotoGP gets to that point, I will just be a casual observer.

Well you should love Moto2 because that is pretty much what it is.

Adding weight to the guys who win? How does that show who the better rider is? Sounds like you are punishing the good riders to give the others a better chance.

Honda has always been the big dog with the big money and will always have an advantage because of that. Even with that advantage they have been beaten many times. I learned my dislike of Honda in the 80s watching Eddie Lawson hand them there asses on a shoestring budget.

This year the Honda is the better bike, and Honda likely has the best rider on the grid, but if he wins the championship next race he had to work to get it.

I like things the way they are. Moto2 has the everyone on a pretty equal footing thing going on and MotoGP has the fastest bikes that can be built with the best riders in the world.

I don't think Suzuki is going to be in until 2015.

Jealously is an evil thing.
Getting beat a couple seasons by pimply faced American teenagers and constantly getting passed over or sent back from going over seas must still not sit well with him.

sent from a treestand on the back forty

What a class act that guy is.

Anyone can have a opinion, but for him to call Spies a pussy is ridiculous.

Mladin never left AMA. Sure he won a lot, but the fact that he stayed there and never moved up pretty much tells you which one of them is the pussy.

Spies may have cracked under the pressure, but Mladin never put himself under the pressure.

Maybe all racers from Australia are dickheads.
