I have several SJCams and they compare quite well with the various GoPros.

If Iím on a straight boring road I turn it off to help save space. In towns or coming up on something I turn it back on. I run it in towns just in case something happens, just little tricks to help save space. But in doing this I have missed a few good things , go figure.

27 degrees this morning. Rode up and got new chain, sprockets and cush rubbers plus front and rear brake pads put on the CB. Ready for summer now (but will need tires in another 3000 miles.). 32 miles today

How many miles did you get from the chain?

Tank got 36,909 miles out of the chain. Front spkt showed some wear, I thought the rear looked pretty good.

Brake pads had 17,835 miles on them and still had some pad left. I got 19,074 out of the original set. Think I will wait until 20k before replacing them again.

I ran the video to/from Toledo today. Roughly 3 hours total running time at 1080P setting and it used about 14 gig of the 32 gig micro sd card. At that rate, it should hold roughly 6 hours of HD video.

In the cage I'm running it on a power cord. On the MC using the waterproof case, I'll need to use the batteries. They are supposed to last 45-60 minutes, but I have 5 batteries. (2 came with the camera and I picked up 3 more with a small charging unit). On the Goldwing I can charge 2 at a time in the trunk while riding and have several others in my pocket.

Now I'm really psyched to try this on the bikes.

I think you will really like it wahoo. The more you play around with the video edit the better it gets also. Here is a couple pics from this summer and mine is a cheaper session 5. A little square box.

another damp 52 mile ride this morning, but heavier rain is coming later today.

Got home changed oil, filter and final drive oil for the 26th time. You'd think I could do it without spilling oil by now ...HA..nope!

That is pretty good for the chain. Wonder what kind they put on it? I generally think DID seems to last the longest for me.

I never know how long my pads will last, it depends so much on the kind of riding I do. Any more they last me a long time because I hardly ever ride aggressive. I have settled on only using EBC HH pads, the copper colored ones. Have been very disappointed with other brands and the EBC work nice in the rain and seem to cause very little wear to my rotors.

It came stock with an RK so I put another RK back on it. I usually use DID.

I use oem brake pads, never had an issue with them and they last well. I am not an aggressive rider either. Constant but not aggressive lol
