Seems like that one is halfway between a Harley and a Goldwing. It does look huge!

Actually this twin motor has been in production since 2006 with the Roadliner. Then adopted to the Raider in 2008, and also used on the Stratoliners. It's a proven motor.

I really like this thing. I can definitely foresee one in my future....someday.

Demo days got rained out today. We got a ton of rain here today. A few inches. My son and I rode up there, but they weren't allowing any test rides. They did sell one of the Venture Tourers today. The upscale model.

Going back up tomorrow to try and ride some demo bikes.

No one was allowed to ride the new Venture.

i did ride the FJR ( real nice but still don't like it as much as my ST 1300) although it has some nice features I appreciated and wish my ST had. I might be needing or wanting a new sport tourer soon. I have almost 100,000 on my ST. HOpe Honda has something up their sleeve. IF not, the FJR is a contender.

And I rode the new FZ-10. Holy Crap that was a fun bike to ride. Sounds like a 5 liter Mustang when accelerating above 4K. I kept rolling it back to 4K and then blasting it up to 8K. Not sure I would want one, but I sure liked riding it.

What kind of features did the Yamaha have that you wished the Honda had?

Been a while since I sat on a Yamaha, but the Honda seemed much more comfortable.

I got our FZ6R fired up yesterday and that inline four really got me thinking. Maybe a BMW is not for me. What I need is a comfortable, shaft driven, low maintenance cost inline four with good luggage capacity and wind protection. Needs to be easy to service and super reliable.

It would seem as far as new motorcycles go the only thing that comes close is the FJR.

I couldn't get comfortable on the FJR thus is why I have an RT and it's a whole lot easier to service. I'd suggest you take a long demo ride on an FJR before you buy.

Yes, the BMW is far ahead as far as comfort and ease of service is concerned which is why I have been thinking about one so much.

But, you should have heard that FZ6R yesterday. The sound sends chills down your spine.
