well since they were claiming it was going to start raining before 9 am I was on the road at 7:15. Saw the sun come up in a gray stained sky. Started sprinkling as I was headed back home about 8:15. 41 miles this morning, 36 degrees.

I shoveled 3” of fresh snow from my driveway. It was 22 degrees. I enjoyed it so much, I went next door and shoveled my 80 year old neighbor’s driveway too.

Now sitting at the coffee shop doing a crossword puzzle.

Spring can’t get here soon enough.........

Only 2 inches last night.

For a total of 20 inches this week - tops your LOW 19 inches per YEAR......UNFORTUNATELY....

A couple of days for us, until warm weather once again.....

BYE, BYE.......

I bought a knock-off go-pro with an amazon gift card I got for my birthday a few months ago. It’s call a DB Power 5000 or something like that. I also picked up a 32 gig micro SD card for it.

Been experimenting with it in the cage today after buying a suction cup camera mount. The video is pretty good for a $50 camera. It came with a bunch of different mounting options, including a car mount to use as a dash cam and a waterproof case to use on the bike or underwater.

I’m going to try it on my Monday commute to Cleveland and see how it goes on a 40+ mile trip.

I never thought I’d be interested in running a video camera on the MC, but now that I have one, I wish I had it on some of our previous trips to New England, SD and Colorado.

Oh well. Guess we’ll have to go back again.

I really like mine. I have a helmet mount and handlebar mount. I usually watch to video on my iPhone and pull pics from it using a GoPro app.

When the camera saves the video to the SD card, does it automatically split the video into separate filed ? I only drove around the subdivision, but it seemed to split the files at 1 minute intervals. At 1080P setting, each minute of video is about 260 megs file size.

I’ll try the 720 setting. It does 60 frames per second and 30 frames per second.

Yes mine splits it. Not sure how long though. It can also be set to snap pics every so often.

The GoPro app makes it all easy. I also have a GoPro app called quik. You can pick the best picture you like and make them into a video or slideshow. I haven’t messed with it to much yet but I will this summer

Will it work with any camera or does it need to be a genuine go-pro?

Mine has wi-fi capabilities but I have not enabled that feature yet

Mine is a session 5 so it should work with any. I also have WiFi which is how it connects to the app.
